Equipment Description
The Stuart SSM5 is a professional-grade orbital microtitre plate shaker designed for mixing microplates, tubes, and small vessels in pharmaceutical, biochemical, and clinical laboratory environments. The unit features a digital LED display showing both RPM and time settings, independent start/stop and mode push-buttons, and a front-mounted rotary dial for mains speed/timer control. The shaking platform is a large-format white metal tray with raised edges and multiple fixing points for plate adapters.
The casing is constructed in a robust blue-grey polymer body and is fitted with BioCote® antimicrobial protection (Bibby Scientific certified), making it particularly suited for microbiological and pharmaceutical environments.
